About me

My name is Katy Snow and I have taught English Language and English Literature for five years. I trained at Exeter University and currently work in a small independent school near London. I teach both KS3 and GCSE English and I have worked with the AQA exam board to mark GCSE English Language exams. I am also completing an MSc in Learning and Teaching with the University of Oxford which has helped me research different pedagogies to best engage students with their study of English Language and Literature. The Oxford AQA offer three international exams: English Literature, English Language and English as a Second Language. The English Literature course will take on a journey from Shakespeare to modern plays, novels and poetry. The English Language course is an exploration of non-fiction reading and writing. English and a Second Language focuses on the four main skills of language mastery: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
